Wrapping my Mind around Things

Good morning! I listed (and relisted) some photos in my Etsy shop yesterday, including this spinning wheel photo! Also, please check out my SALE!!!

I had a really nice weekend with an old friend. We had a great time. We took him to see Multnomah Falls, The Portland Saturday Market, and Powell's. Sunday we went shooting, and throughout the weekend we played lots of wii. I had to wrap my mind around the visit so many times. We had each grown, so much... and we were so not the same. This was my first love, my boyfriend for years, my confidante... and yes, I'm still trying to grasp the changes. None bad, per se... but we have grown so differently.

Anyway, I hope we can all make this the best Monday that we can!

Updates

Yesterday was a good day. After being *so* down the day before, I felt almost giddy yesterday, felt so light and carefree. Today I feel pretty good as well. Another side effect of me screwing around with my medications is that I've not been sleeping well lately. So, I'm tired. It will improve.

I have been scouring the internet to find freelance photography and/or writing jobs. I have a couple of good leads on jobs so far, and now I'm asking you. If any of you know of anything out there, please point me in the right direction.

I still have so many photos to edit. Photos from camping, and from the rose garden. Tonight I'm off to watch my boys race their dirtbikes. Summer always seems to speed by.

At work today I'll be writing in my friendship journal. The one that two of my bestest online friends and I are passing around across the country. There are 3 actually. We're all on our 2nd group of pages in our 2nd book... This one started out in Long Beach, California, now it's in Oregon, then it will go to Connecticutt and end up back home in California! What an amazing journey these journals are going on, and we're adding bits of our lives to them as we go.

All in all, life is good. Must still remember to put the force fields on high when around certain people, but I'm getting there. Thinking about coating myself with teflon so none of the negativity can stick! Getting to the point where I'm strong and impermeable... one step at a time.

Such a good reminder for me today. So instead of my normal blogging time, I think I will spend the time meditating.

An off day & a SALE for you

I always get this way, at least once during the work week. Where I'm just exhausted. Things have been a little busier at work, which is awesome. I'm now at 37 sales, which is awesome. And I'm really tired.

So, yesterday was an off day. I still discussed ideas with friends, and became inspired. But my heart just wasn't in all the marketing. And that's ok. It's ok to have an off day. And it's ok to NOT beat yourself up for just not being into it. In fact, I've learned that if you beat yourself up about it, then it flows into another whole day of being off. I don't want that :-).

Today I'll ease back into it. I'll do some marketing, do some brainstorming. Lots of ideas now, and I may not get them done til next week because I have a weekend trip planned. But you know what? I'd really love to move some stuff before my trip.
