I bought a special journal for my dad journal. It has a soft blue leather cover. I haven't bought a journal in so long, it was fun to go through the selection... I picked up so many and felt them. I have been toying with the idea of leather wrapped journals. That dream is getting closer and I think I will be learning how to do that soon.
I also ordered some supplies yesterday for new products for my shop, and will replenish the journal supply shortly after the move. However, in the meantime, check out the new photos I've added... many have a soft, feminine touch.
That reminds me. I'm still debating on whether or not to put my shop on vacation mode while I move. I've heard pros and cons. Any thoughts?
The past two nights, I've been unable to sleep well. Lots of weird dreams, tossing and turning. Waking several times throughout the night. So tonight, with no early alarm tomorrow, I'm taking melatonin and getting back on track with my sleep.
Sunday's the day we get our keys!!!

I'm so glad you are starting the Dad journal. I will certainly help you on your way to healing. Remember, you can always add photos if you wish beside your entries if you'd like to.
I'm not sure how long it will take you to move, so don't have any suggestions on whether or not to place your shop in vacation mode. Wishing you a smooth and successful move.
Take care. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

So glad everything is starting to go better for you! I'm excited for you about your new life, and I think that learning how to do leather bound journals will be awesome for you! As far as putting your shop in vaca mode, I don't think I would unless you expect a bunch of days in a row where you won't be able to check in. Totally up to you and how busy you think your shop will be. Love you and thrilled that life is getting better for you!
*hugs*
whoo hooo!!!! :D KEYS = FREEDOM :D
So happy for you Robyn! :D Love the new pictures :) I'm not just sure about the vacation mode or not. I've never put my shop on vacation before. Best of luck with the decision AND the move!
Very excited to see your journals to when they come to fruition :D

Robyn, so glad that you bought your Dad journal! You are just doing so well, I am praying for you always!
Your new photographs are just so beautiful! And I think if you will only be busy for a few days, then keep your shop open! Write something in your announcement about you being busy moving but that your shop is open and you will mail out orders accordingly...just a thought!
Love you!
Hugs
Aisha :)
I'm happy for you and your exciting new journey!! Moving can be exciting especially when it means a positive fresh start!!
Instead of vacation mode maybe you can just put an announcement about what's going on and that you won't be processing orders til after the move!
{{hugs}}
Robyn,
The leather journals idea sounds like a perfect addition to your shop.
I've been looking for some time for an art type journal that I could carry along with me. Some that I've seen are so beautiful, many with hand painted covers. You might be able to use some of your photos to make them one of a kind. Oh the possibilities!
As far as the closing your shop during your move...I don't think you'll need to. A friendly mention that you are moving, and that your process time may be extended would cover any possible delays. That should be enough. Unless, you are feeling a need to just concentrate on the move and thoroughly enjoy the new start without distraction, I would just post an announcement. Enjoy your weekend I’m so happy you have a wonderful new start to look forward to.
Hugggggggs.

I wouldn't put the shop in vacation mode unless you really feel you need to. I would put a message at the top of the store explaining the move, and either ship once you get settled or have them convo you if they need something right away.
I mostly agree with Waynne,
Seeing as i know your "behind the scenes" a bit more then others, I say leave it open, its not hard for you to fill your orders, if you end up getting an insane amount of orders, well, is that really a problem? worst case you can message them saying "Hey, I'm in the middle of moving so it may take a couple extra days for your images to be sent out to you sorry for the inconvenience" if you end up not getting any orders, well then there is no harm in your shop just sitting there doing nothing because essentially thats what your store would do if you put it on vacation mode.
my 2 cents atleast
