An online friend yesterday had some issues. Her feelings had been hurt by a group of artists. She felt like she had no support. When I don't feel supported, I withdraw, I curl up, I think of all the reasons I'm not *worthy* of that support. But this friend is brave. She worked up the courage to confront this group.
What is brave? Brave is the artist who takes those blows and keeps on creating. Brave is the mother of a toddler who protects her child at the playground. Brave is the person who stands up to that bully and sees them for what they really are. Brave is someone willing to bare their soul for what they believe in.
I challenge you to do something BRAVE today!

Great post, Sis! Way too often we prefer to withdraw in order to avoid conflict instead of standing up for ourselves and what we believe in. I think we all could learn a thing or two from that brave artist you speak of! Kudos to her for standing up for what she knows is right!
*hugs*
Robyn, thank you for this blog and especially these words:
"What is brave? Brave is the artist who takes those blows and keeps on creating."
I’ve never been courageous; I’ve never been a fighter. Normally I would have withdrawn, and curled up and given up. I have always loved art of any kind and creating but I buried it in favor of more “important things”. Something has changed! I have a burning desire to create I can’t, I won’t let it be crushed again. What has caused the change? Well, I’ve learned many lessons lately, and many, more than I can count from you. Thank you, for helping me to realize that I can be strong and stand up for my work. I’ve learned that I’m stronger; stronger than I ever knew was possible! Thank you for your constant support of artists, for encouraging individual expression, and for helping me to uncover my inner artist and letting her shine. I count it a privilege to have stumbled upon you.
(((Robyn))) ~ Wonderful post ;D I thought of this quote as I read it:
"Promise me you will always remember ~ You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem and smarter than you think."
Cheers and Blessings,
Marie
Robyn - Giggle said it perfectly. You have been so encouraging to so many. I'm glad to have witnessed the bravery that took place yesterday. It definately opened my eyes in so many ways.

Great post, Robyn. So many times we don't let our feelings know. We all need to do something brave today.
Bravo to you for such a wonderful post! and hugs to you and Giggles for being the wonderful and brave ladies that you both are! I know that all of you have given me such support and love that I want to do all I can to return it! I don't mind a slap up side the head now and then to remind me of it either. We all need that at times! xxoo
