I took this photo on my day in Newport a few weekends ago. I love clocks. They have an impossible job... to measure time. Time, I think, is completely subjective. Like if you have had 3 cups of coffee and you're waiting for your boss to get out of the bathroom, time crawls. Or if you're working on a big project and the deadline is in two hours, time literally flies. In both circumstances, we watch that clock... and yes, it goes slower or faster. Or so it seems.

Long ago, I decided that I worked best under pressure. That fed my want to procrastinate. So I put things off til there's a real time crunch. Then I work like mad to get it done. What a lot of stress I'm putting on myself!

This weekend, I'm going to work on sorting through some more photos. I have tons that I need to organize. No deadline, just a want to get it done. But, if I really have a need to get it done, I'll create a deadline, then when that's near, I'll just buckle down and do it.

I'll also be working on more journals and listing them. I will keep you posted on that.

So... are you a procrastinator? A deadline maker? A list maker? What tools do you use to get things done in a timely manner?

I work well under pressure as well, get things done faster if I have to have it done, I have 60 clips I need to make in 10 days now lol. I did that at my job too, would have to make something for a quick order that came in and it had to be done right then! I can't wait to see what you'll create next!

LOL...I totally agree.

I'm a listmaker, then I procrastinate...THEN I work like mad and get it done--LOL

I'm a listmaker, then I procrastinate, then I'm a total "GOT TO GET THIS DONE RIGHT NOW OR ELSE"!!!! Actually, I am currently doing that right now with an order LOL.

I work well under pressure, which I've done since high school! I've always left things to the the last minute, it just seems like I do a better job when I am under a deadline. I also make thousands of lists and I still procrastinate!

Reading all the comments makes me think that ALL crafters work well under pressure...and we're all procrastinators, because we're also dreamers!

Hi. My name is Kevin and I'm a procrastinator. BIG TIME. Scarlet O'Hara is my hero. " Oh fiddle-dee dee, I can't worry about that today. I'll worry myself sick. I'll worry about that tomorrow. After all, tomorrow is another day." Great post.

I totally need lists... I have many of them... and most the time I forget to write stuff down on them.. then when I do something not on the list I write it on there just so I can cross it off!

Time is amazing, there is always too much of it or not enough.

Definitely a listmaker here! If I have no list, I can work all day and feel like I've accomplished nothing because I can't cross it off!

Love the photo BTW!

Yeah, it's interesting that there are so many procrastinator's among us! Count me in too. I make lists and then forget to look at them.

I'm aiming for more balance in my life. I remember a time when there was flow and everything just got done. It's that Zen quality of doing without doing. Ahhhh!

I am also a List-Creating, Procrastinating, Chaos worker. There is a wonderful FREE website to help people like us called Flylady. It's this woman who took herself out of a really bad, depressive state and turned her life around into an organized, happy existence. And she swears it all started by CLEANING HER KITCHEN SINK!!

If you have never heard of "Fly" Lady (FLY= Finally Loving Yourself), you should check her out at It really is completely free & her strategies can be applied to both the busy Workaholic mom as well as the Just-As-Busy SAHM. My problem is that I procrastinate going to the flylady website. LOL
